Supplies and Equipment
The Wilderness Survival Institute sells survival kit components.
Survival kits are personal, seasonal, and geographical. The kit components change with the seasons, geography, and personal needs. A winter survival kit will have different components as compared to a desert survival kit.
They do not have to be expensive, but they have to be functional. Everything in the survival kit should have multiple uses. For example, with the ability to start a fire, the fire becomes a sigaling device, a water purification device, and a heat source.
